No time limit: The process could take from a minimum of two to several visits over a period of time, whichever you prefer. There is no time limit or pressure to produce any ring in a set time. Hours are flexible during daytime or evenings.
Materials: Metal will be provided and you can choose to work in Platinum, Gold, Palladium or Silver.
Design Options: You can choose from a selection of Plain ring options or be slightly more ambitious and attempt either Patterned or Shaped rings. If you are feeling confident of your ability or have previous making experience, you may wish to make one of the various Multi-coloured designs available, or alternatively you may have a Specific design of your own which you may wish to consider.
Making: Most of the rings will be made by hand involving the bending and soldering of metal wires or sheet but the occasional design may lend itself to being made by casting (i.e. pouring of molten metal into a mould). In this case a master model is made by hand and then sent away for casting and returned for filing and finishing. (NB an additional manufacturing charge will be made for these cast items.)
Example of the procedure for a Plain Ring

• Making up the ring: This involves the cutting, rolling or drawing of the metal to length and profile. Once this is achieved the metal is rounded up into its ring shape and the ends are joined together by soldering.
• Rounding the ring: This involves the refining of the round shape of the ring to achieve the finger size required.
• Finishing the ring: The ring is now filed to its profile shape and then using a series of papers and polishes any marks in the surface of the metal are removed and the ring is brought to the finish required.
